AB 1187: Household Hazardous Waste (2001)

Summary

AB 1187 (2001) makes recycling Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) easier and more affordable for individuals and local communities by increasing funding for the California Integrated Waste Management Board’s local government HHW grant program.  In addition, it allows approved oil recycling centers to collect more than 20 gallons of used oil per individual and seeks to hold accountable non-registered haulers of used tires who are in violation of State law.
