AB 1402: Design-Build Process for Schools (2001)

AB 1402 (2001) authorizes school districts to use a more streamlined process in building schools in order to mitigate bureaucracy. It allows school districts to put together architectural services, engineering services, and construction services in a single package, called a “design-build” package, for large projects of $10 million or more.  The provisions of this bill expired on January 1, 2007.
