BASIC AID SCHOOLS DODGE BULLET

SACRAMENTO – Assemblyman Joe Simitian (D-Palo Alto) released the following statement today following the Governor’s budget announcement.

Good news! Basic aid schools have dodged a bullet.

Governor Schwarzenegger’s 2004-05 proposed budget does not include a Basic Aid “take-away” of local property taxes.
