SPRING INTERNSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT
State Senator Joe Simitian is seeking part-time volunteer interns for his district office in Palo Alto. Responsibilities include (a) performing general office tasks (answering phones, filing, entering data, photocopying, etc.); (b) reviewing various publications for information that is important to the office; (c) assisting in responding to constituent concerns; and (d) conducting research and other special projects as needed.
Desirable qualifications include interest in state government; strong verbal and written communication skills; experience using PC computers, Microsoft Office, and database programs; ability to work both independently and collaboratively; and the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Internships are available for high school juniors and seniors.
