SB 188 (2005) would have provide that for purposes of determining eligibility for assistance and benefits under the CalWORKs program, the income of the family shall not include earnings or payments acquired from active duty in the California National Guard, to the extent that those funds are available to a family seeking or receiving CalWORKs aid, unless the total family income exceeds 150% of the federal poverty level.
