SB 226: CEQA (2011)
Summary
Senate Bill 226 revises the CEQA scoping process to enable public agency comments on general plan and zoning ordinance amendments – as required under Planning and Zoning Law – to be conducted concurrently with a scoping meeting under CEQA.
After the bill passed the Legislature, Senator Simitian sent a letter to the Governor urging his signature.
