SB 425: Commute Trip Reduction (2009)

Summary

This bill will create a program that gives businesses an incentive to engage in substantive commute reductions. This idea is modeled after similar legislation is the state of Washington. This bill will significantly change the way Californians commute and thereby have a substantive effect on problems relating to congestion, climate change, and urban planning as well as encouraging increased utilization and continued development of public transit.
