SB 1384: Security Freeze on Consumer Reports (2012)

Summary

Existing law allows a California consumer to place a security freeze on his or her credit files, maintained by the three major credit reporting agencies.  This bill would authorize a consumer to place a similar security freeze on certain other consumer reports that contain private financial information.
