SIMITIAN REFLECTS ON HIS FIRST YEAR IN SACRAMENTO

SACRAMENTO – Assemblyman Joe Simitian (D-Palo Alto) announced today that he will be speaking at the Palo Alto League of Women Voters’ Fall kickoff event, which is open to the public and free of charge.

The program entitled “Mr. Simitian Goes to Sacramento: Reflections of a Freshman Legislator,” will offer the audience an opportunity to hear first-hand observations of life as a member of the California State Assembly.

“Work in the Capitol is unlike anything I experienced during my work in local government,” Simitian said.  “Life in the Capitol certainly has its quirks.  I look forward to sharing those experiences with folks here at home – as well as discussing the substantive achievements of the year.”
