PALO ALTO – A Woman of the Year celebration to honor Pat Briggs, the Director of Palo Alto Children’s Theatre, will take place on April 13. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
“I hope we have a wonderful turnout to honor Pat’s many good works,” said Assemblyman Joe Simitian (D-Palo Alto).
The afternoon reception, hosted by Simitian, will be punctuated by live theater performances and will honor Briggs for her dedication in providing Palo Alto kids with a creative outlet.
Simitian selected Briggs as the 21st Assembly District’s Woman of the Year for her unprecedented 40-plus years of service to the Theatre. He also highlighted her devotion and theatrical expertise in bringing out the best in children with her superb direction.
“Pat is a remarkable woman. It’s an honor to recognize Pat for her invaluable contribution to the community and her consummate professionalism in working with kids,” Simitian said.
