AB 2473: Gift Certificates (2002)

Summary

AB 2473 (2002) protects consumers by requiring businesses that have declared bankruptcy to honor gift certificates issued prior to the date of the bankruptcy filing. In the absence of such a law, an individual company may or may not choose to honor the gift certificate.
