Summary

SB 640 amends the state’s Tort Claims Act by creating an exception to allow the victim of childhood sexual abuse by a public school employee to file a civil claim against the school district.

After this bill passed the Legislature, Senator Simitian sent a letter to the Governor urging his signature on this bill.
