SB 159: Move Over, Slow Down Sunset Repeal (2009)

Summary

Current law requires a motorist to either mover over or slow down when passing an emergency responder or tow truck that is working roadside. The “Move Over Slow Down” law is set to expire this year.  SB 159 would eliminate the sunset and make the law permanent.

After this bill passed the Legislature, Senator Simitian sent a letter to the Governor urging his signature on this bill.
