SB 966 would require the Integrated Waste Management Board to identify and develop model programs for the safe disposal of household generated pharmaceutical waste. (The bill was subsequently passed by the Senate and sent to the Governor.)

Senate Democrats unveiled legislation today to improve the management of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. Senate Bill 27 will, among other things, bolster emergency preparedness, identify levees that need strengthening and enhance wildlife restoration.
