Joe Testifies on Delta Legislation

State Senator Joe Simitian makes the case for legislation to restore the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta and ensure a safe, reliable water supply for California.

This testimony was given at a joint informational hearing of the Assembly Water, Parks & Wildlife and Senate Natural Resources & Water Committees on 8/18/2009 in the California State Capitol.

Senator Simitian Presents SB 1399 (Solar Shade Act Amendments) in Committee

Senator Simitian presents his SB 1399 for a vote in the Senate Energy, Utilities, and Commerce Committee. Richard Treanor, Sunnyvale homeowner, speaks on behalf of the bill. SB 1399 would make amendments to California's Solar Shade Act that would clarify and rationalize the rules for resolving disputes between neighbors about trees that shade solar panels.
