There Oughta Be a Law deadline extended

State Sen. Joe Simitian, D-Palo Alto, has extended to Dec. 1 the deadline of his “There Oughta Be a Law” contest, in which he invites constituents to submit suggestions for new laws.
This is the eighth consecutive year Sen. Simitian has held the contest. Fourteen of the ideas have eventually been signed into law, Sen. Simitian said.
