PALO ALTO – State Senator Joe Simitian (D-Palo Alto) will hold Town Hall meetings in Redwood City, Palo Alto and Los Altos on Thursday, September 27, Saturday, September 29 and Thursday, October 4, respectively. He invites residents of the 11th Senate District to bring their questions, comments, and concerns about state government.
“Elected officials need to stay in touch with their constituents on a regular basis,” said Simitian. “I want to keep folks up to date with what I’m working on, and even more important, listen to them. A Town Hall is participatory democracy in its purest form.”
Simitian and his staff will also be on-hand after the Town Hall meetings conclude to meet informally with the community. Light refreshments will be served.
