SB 801: Sales Tax Paperwork Reduction (2005)

Summary

SB 801 (2005) would have reduced the number of sales tax forms small businesses have to file. 

Current law requires businesses that have an estimated monthly sales tax liability of less than $4,000 to both make quarterly sales tax payments AND file sales and use tax returns on a quarterly basis.  SB 801 would still have required these businesses to make quarterly tax payments, but reduced the required paperwork to once a year.
