SIMITIAN TO HOLD ANNUAL SIDEWALK OFFICE HOURS

PALO ALTO – State Senator Joe Simitian (D-Palo Alto) today announced that he will hold “sidewalk office hours” on July 7, 9, and 10 in six different locations – Palo Alto, Redwood City, Los Altos, San Carlos, Menlo Park, and Campbell.  Simitian once again invites community members to visit and bring questions and comments about state legislative issues.

Simitian’s upcoming sidewalk office hours include two “firsts”:  This marks the first time that Simitian will host sidewalk office hours in Campbell, which is part of his new Senate District 11 constituency.  And for the first time, San Carlos Mayor Inge Tiegel Doherty will join Simitian at the San Carlos Farmers’ Market.

“It’s helpful to meet with folks face-to-face,” Simitian said.  “Sidewalk office hours give both the public and me a chance to interact in an informal, friendly atmosphere.  I want to know what my constituents are concerned about.  This is an ideal way to keep in touch.”

Simitian will host his sidewalk office hours at the following locations:
