PALO ALTO – State Senator Joe Simitian (D-Palo Alto) announced today that he will hold “sidewalk office hours” in San Carlos, Redwood City and Campbell on September 6th, 8th and 9th. Simitian invites community members to stop by with their questions and concerns about state legislative issues.
“I look forward to talking to people one-on-one,” said Simitian. “Sidewalk office hours give both the public and me a chance to interact in an informal, friendly atmosphere. With the amount of time that my job requires me to be in Sacramento, it’s tremendously helpful to hear first-hand what folks have on their minds.”
Simitian holds his sidewalk office hours at local farmers’ markets. All questions are welcome, and no appointment is required.
“The farmers’ markets are a wonderful venue for sidewalk office hours,” Simitian said. “The setting is relaxed, it’s easy to find, and a lot of folks stop by to talk on the spur of the moment. In these challenging times, it’s more important than ever for elected officials to stay in touch.”
Simitian will host his sidewalk office hours at the following times and locations:
