SB 376: LNG Facility Planning (2009)
Summary
This bill establishes a planning process for determining whether a Liquefied Natural Gas facility should be sited on the California coast. It requires the California Energy Commission prepare a needs assessment for natural gas evaluating local and national supplies. It requires that a CEQA analysis for an LNG facility include a full life-cycle assessment of greenhouse gas emissions for imported LNG.
