AB 1301: Alcoholic Beverages & Controlled Substances: minors (2003)


AB 1301 (2003) holds parents and legal guardians liable for underage teen drinking and driving. It establishes a misdemeanor crime for a parent or legal guardian, who knowingly permits his or her child to use alcohol or drugs in the home, if that use then leads the minor to cause a driving accident.
