AB 1396: Elder Abuse Ombudsman (2003)
Summary
AB 1396 (2003) proposed that the Office of the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman in the California Department of Aging impose a $3 per bed annual fee on long-term care facilities for the support of local ombudsman programs, which are responsible for investigating and resolving complaints and concerns communicated by or on behalf of patients, residents, or clients of long-term care facilities.
